With more air being ingested at meal time it has to come out somewhere and we all know a silent but deadly fart from one of our furry friends is never pleasant to be around. There is also a greater risk of your pet suffering from bloat which increases the risk of gastric dilatation and volvulus (flipping of the stomach). Slower feeding has been shown to reduce the risk of GDV.
