How much should my pet eat?
As a general rule, pets should be eating approximately 2-5% of their body weight daily, depending on activity level and age.
As a general rule of thumb a guide of 250grams per 10kg of bodyweight is used.
This will vary depending on the dogs energy and activity levels. If your pet is overweight and needing to lose a few kgs, feed them closer to 2% of their body weight and give them more exercise. If your pet is underweight, closer to 3% should be fed.
We recommend feeding your dog their required amount over 2 meals per day as this is better for their digestion (and helps to avoid bloat in larger breeds) as well as it stops them scouring all day looking for food. If need be though, you can feed them in one sitting.
The biggest difference you will find with Raw & Fresh is your pet feels fuller for longer. The food we provide is real food, unlike a lot highly processed products in the market full of fillers/ additives that your pet will pass very quickly, they will actually digest Raw & Fresh, absorb all the nutrients from it, before passing a small amount.
Dogs are biologically descendant's of wolves and their DNA differs by only 0.2%. Although dogs looks far different from wolves, their internal biology is almost identical.
If we look at a wolves diet, it consists of other animals and small amount of vegetation which is often consumed through the stomach of the prey the wolf has caught.
If wolves are naturally eating fresh meats - organs and small amounts of vegetables, then why are we feeding our dogs highly processed foods containing high amounts of carbohydrate, fillers, additives and preservatives?
We believe that a Raw diet is best as it contains 100% natural foods! - no fillers, preservatives, synthetic vitamins or minerals are used. We encourage feeding the food raw also as its in its best state for dogs and cats to absorb the essential nutrients contained in the food. When foods are cooked through the heating process they often cook out the essential vitamins and minerals contained in the food which is why its best to serve raw.

Do your minces have bone in them?
Our chicken blends have a 10% bone/cartilage ratio within it. Our roo and beef minces do not have bone mixed through. If only feeding beef or roo meals we suggest you select some bones from our bone menu that can be fed over the week.

Following our belief in fresh is best, we have zero preservatives, sulphur dioxide or salts in our products, thus giving our products far shorter shelf life.
We recommend the food is split if needed and placed in the freezer on the day of delivery. Thaw in the fridge and use within 24 hours of thawing to ensure optimal freshness and quality is maintained.
The recommended ‘use by’ date is 3 months. Although it might last longer frozen, we strongly recommend consumption within three months. Once thawed, it should not be re-frozen.
My dog falls between the weight guides
If this is the case for your pooch we recommend you buy the weight range below (unless he/she is extremely active every day), eg your pooch weighs 25kg, buy the 20kg option then just purchase a kilo or 2 of RMB (raw meaty bones) eg chicken necks, cages, brisket bones etc and give 1 of these each morning as breakfast

I’ve just received my order, but some of it has a smells?
Being a completely raw diet containing meats, offal and zero preservatives (natural or otherwise), sometimes the product can get a little ‘on the nose’ for some of us humans. Don’t panic! If you’re really concerned about this, please contact Adam on 0403 073 884 We can assure you that all of our products are made from 100% fresh ingredients and delivered fresh. Please follow the ‘best before’ date and storage instructions on your products' label to ensure its freshness is maintained until consumed.
Are there preservatives?
No. Our food is all 100% preservative and additive free (including ’natural’ preservatives). No sulphur dioxide in the meats either.
My dog seems to have ‘gone off’ the food of late.
This can sometimes happen and the usual reason is they are being over fed. Sometimes their recommended portion size seems quite small in comparison to what you have been feeding them of commercial foods. You must remember that this is REAL food that their body uses more of, therefore takes longer to burn off. Try lessening their portion sizes.
We recommend lightly cooking the food to release more scent and decreasing the cooking over a few days until they are back on the raw food.
Most importantly be confident when feeding! If your nervous or anxious your pet is very likely to pick this up and think, "what is wrong with this food!?" Be confident when serving, place the bowl down and give your pet space to eat.
My dog doesn’t seem to be drinking water anymore.
As the food is raw it naturally contains moisture which hydrates your dog when they consume the food. You will notice from feeding kibble a big difference in the amount of water they consume. This is due to the kibble being dry/ moisture free and with the additions of salts in the food they will often have a very high thirst when feed a kibble diet.
